Day 17 of #nourishwithyoga is a calming pose,#JanuSirsasana#HeadToKneePose.

I’m doing a bit more of a restorative expression with my bolster. I’m also sitting on the flat side of the MELT roller to assist in the positioning of my pelvis. This pose massages and stimulates the internal organs like the liver and kidneys. It is also part of the forward bends which are calming and balancing for the nervous system. Yoga Medicine Rocks!!! Our seat of fire and the chakra of life force, and its central issue is power and will. The right of this chakra is to act, the identity is self identification and the demon of this chakra is shame. When balanced one experiences healthy boundaries, dignity, inherent honor, and integrity.
