MELTed Self Care Challenge Day 9: Bent Knee Press (Quadriceps)

This is another one of my favs! It opens the front of my hips like nothing else! I’ve had back issues since college and this move has made a tremendous difference in the balance between the upper and lower fibers of my psoas.
For many of us the quadriceps are a power muscle that are easily overused during exercise and also locked short from sitting. Restricted quads make it difficult to access the glutes and can create low back and knee strain.
The Bent Knee Press is an effective, efficient way to open up the front of the thigh. Combine it with the Hip to Heel Press and you might feel like you have a new set of legs!
