In the Moment with The Dancing Soul!

In the Moment with The Dancing Soul . . .

Autumn is here , it truly is my favorite time of the year! We get to take in the breathtakingly beautiful display of nature (okay us Floridians you get the idea) . . . We witness the beauty as the trees unveil their latest masterpiece before offering their leaves back to the earth! It is so incredibly inspiring and gives me a great sense of reflection of this past year!

It’s been a beautiful summer of learning, sharing, and teaching MELT. We’ve had lots of great classes, series, Anti-Aging workshops, and many “Aha” moments in learning about the stability and resiliency of our beautiful bodies.

As we welcome this new season, let’s look back at what we’ve accomplished over the light of this past summer and begin to reveal more of our own true essence in everything we do! Anything that no longer serves our greater purpose we allow to simply fall away and offer it up for transformation!

As we settle into Autumn, remember to make time for yourself and add a bit of hydrating self-care to your week . . .

Thanks to a fellow MELT teacher, this article crossed my path. It is well written and makes it easy to understand why our Fascia is so incredibly important! Important for not only how we age at the cellular level, but how we continue to move with ease, how our organs and all other systems of the body are functioning, how we recover from strenuous activities, and how we simply deal with the stressors from daily living and repetition.

I love this quote in the article by Tom Myers, author of Anatomy Trains,

“In your movement body, getting older is a process of drying out,” says Myers. “When fascia gets dehydrated, it starts sticking to itself. In fact, it’s very much like glue if you imagine that you took some of the water out of glue and the glue dries.”

This fascial system depends on hydration to stabilize, support, and protect us! ALL other systems of our body, down to the cellular level DEPEND on the hydration of our fascia to maintain optimal function. Read the article below and then come to MELT to learn how you can rehydrate this tissue so that your movement and aging does not resemble that of dried glue!

Classes not your thing, here are more Ways to MELT with ME . . .

Last but not least, NYC in the Fall . . . One of my favorite things . . .

I’m so excited!!!  I’m going to New York City next week to be one of the 10 Teaching Assistants for this brand new group of New Science/Hand and Foot trainees coming in to learn about the science behind MELT!

I’ve always known I loved teaching, because when I teach I’m out of my own little world, and it opens me in ways that are difficult to express in words! Those of you who have been with me since the beginning with Pilates and now MELT, you have been such a huge factor in my own growth process, and I learn from you all every time I stand up to teach!

Educating people about how to live their best lives has always been a passion of mine, and to now have the opportunity to assist my teacher and MELT creator, Sue Hitzmann in teaching other teachers to share this brilliant work is, well to say the least an honor and a privilege!

I’m looking forward to seeing you all in class soon. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and desire to live your best life . . . You are AWESOME and I’m so grateful for you all!

Love and Light,

Tanya

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
’Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low…
